When I left for college
I didn't know what to do
I was afraid to leave my home
Afraid to be on my own
But now that I'm here
Doing things my way
I realize it's not so bad
To be out on my own
I'm making all new friends
And learning who I am
Classes are fairly easy
Not near as tough as I thought
I'm making a living
And having lots of fun
So to those of you
Who are leaving for college
Don't be afraid
It won't be so bad
Leave home with confidence
And achieve all your dreams
