Muscles taught, mistress grasped and caught, The highwire he does not desire, Merely a steep epitome away from the ire, Of children and ma's, impressarios and pa's, Who gawk expectantly at the show from a nervy seat, In the kiddy's eyes the swinging's a feat, Of trust, the performer does what he must, To entertain from circus's lofty retreat.
