Alone In The Night

I looked into the eyes of night,,
Only to see the darkness,,
The darkness that washed over the rest of the world,,
I turned around to see I was alone,,
Nothing,,
Just the darkness,,
Just me,,
Just the crickets singing their song of love,,
And for that single moment,,
I felt alone without you here.

Please report poetry and or comments that are in breach of our site rules HERE (Please include poem title or url). Parents also please ensure that you supervise your children well when they are on the internet; regardless of what a site says about being, or being considered, child-safe.
