You helped me laugh again
Brought back my smile
Gave a reason to live
Gone, such a long while
Helped me find my true self
What I am inside
How to feel, compassion
Emotions no longer hide
You helped me see again
Opened eyes to find
Love, deep in my heart
Of which, I was blind
You've shown life exists
Such wonderful dreams
You've shown everything
Is not all, it seems
You helped me through
Days of despair
With kindness, compassion
Your loving care
You gave such strength
Helping me through
No longer unhappy
Thanks to you
You were at my side
From start to end
You really are
My best friend
