The Real Me

Contributed by TragicMagic on Sunday, 28th June 2009 @ 06:54:21 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

The real me is an assortment of tangled wires
and disconnected nerve endings unstrung and
frayed. Demanding attention , to be repaired
refinished and recharged!

What I ve learned about life is a matter of
opinion, Im humble at times but when Im
not youve crossed the line of my dominion!
There I become sarcastically brutal!

The knowledge Ive acquired in my lifetime,
many seek many critique. All useless in my
quest for the meaning of life! I scour the
world in its abysmal state, if you dont
know me then its hard to relate?

I have seen and done things, most people
couldnt do in a lifetime, and possibly wouldnt
want to? Still I have a perpetual thirst for the
unknown and who am I really?

A lover a poet, a liberal a fighter, a burnt out
machine whose gears are wearing thin and have
gone rusted? It is what it is, The Real Me!

I like the flow of this poem. Sometimes we write our best works during times of strife. Great job.
