Forbidden Love
I will be waiting when the hour is late
For you to meet me by the garden gate
Your beauty will glow under the bright moon light
I will want to ravish you; but know the time is not right
We will stroll along the garden path
Sharing a glance, a smile and hopefully a laugh
The anticipation will build until we nearly burst
Your love and affection will quench my desiring thirst
It is so sad that this will only be in my dreams
For our lives are destined to be apart; or so it seems
Another man has already received the promise of your hand
And I have been exiled to this far off land
I would die a happy man if I could have one embrace
To feel your heated breath upon my face
This is the wish I put forth today for all the world to know
This would make me a happy man when to Heaven I had to go
