long distances were never an issue,
for it was our love that kept it tight
you always said you would wait for me
you promised me the world
our arguments were intense
but you always knew what to say
forever in each other's arms is what we promised
with an embrace so loving
i was always the stubborn one
but you always taught me the right way
my ugliest days to me
were the most beautiful for you
sacrifices were each other's gift
for months of misery were worth one day of joy
but like the tides
we came and went
off to pursue other things in life
and i hope you know
that i truly hope the best for you
because you taught be what it meant to be valued
loved, adored, and treated like a woman
i will always love you
and i hope that you find everything
that you're looking for in life.
