Autumn came and took you away As leaves fell to the ground Then winter came and things weren't the same And the world didn't make a sound Though I remembered the spring, and how I met you My heart was reduced to ice Your love was lost, such a terrible cost And its wasn't just once, but twice
But through my own sorrow And days of constant rain I never truly let go And I never forgot my pain So I wiped away tears, forgot all my fears And there you were
Now the sun is back out Birds they sing, and buds they bloom Wild hearts all around us become tame But as I sit here, wishing love near I cannot forget your name Such a sweet sound, your voice to my ear Like I've known you lifetimes before The ice has melted, an un-heard of thought And I'm not hurt anymore
Though seasons will change I'll always wait for you through everything Though things never stay the same I ask that you please by my sunshine Please be my spring
