The Moth

THE MOTH

Where am I now? Darkness all around me,
Why can I not see? What could that noise be?
Whos there? What was that? Do I stay or flee?

That smell! Legends say it can end our plight,
They said if we smell smoke then we must fight!
If stories are true there must be, yes! Light!

Must act before it is too late,
Must fly towards light, its my fate,
Theres no time to procrastinate.

Feel the cold slowly vanishing,
My hopelessness disappearing,
As the warmth caresses my wing.

Now I cross the border,
From total disorder,
To the new world order.

Paradise lies ahead,
Glad that I have not fled,
Gone are feelings of dread.

Flames are calling
To me, dancing,
Nearly touching.

Heat embracing,
Enveloping,
Sympathizing.

Safety,
Safety,
Safety.

Heaven,
Heaven,
Heav.....

Where are all the comments? This is a humourous, excellent, unique write. I very much enjoyed reading it. 5/5.
