What would it be To be a tree? One looked after and never torn down To see everything around me change To live for years and years But never move And only grow
What lovers would lay in my shade? What distraught minds would seek my company? What animals would call me home? How many people could I call my friend?
If I were a tree I think I'd be a willow What kind of tree Would you be?

I love this piece. It's funny how I wrote one about a tree branch view and you wrote one about being a tree! I think trees are amazing and capture so much energy over time. They have witnessed so much that humans have not. Amazing poem. You cover the tree's life in a beautiful way. I like the probing questions asked in the poem as well. I would probably be a weeping williow or a pine tree. I might also be an apple tree because of the amazing blossoms in late summer. Sorry this comment is so lengthy. I am a tree enthusiast. I hope to read more of your writing soon!
