I woke up this morning feeling fine I had a clean slate, nothing on my mind Until I looked up at the calender hanging on the wall And realized today was one that made my spirits fall
Today is a day I had prepared for long ago Hours I had spent for none of it to even show Not the gifts I bought Not the cards I sought Nor the songs I brought All of which came from the heart
cause today is the anniversery of the day you came to earth But right now all I feel Is my skin face down on the dirt As I lie down replaying the moment you told me we wouldn't work
I now go throughout my day trying to get past it But now the only memories I can think of include her One thought now burns into my head: I wish I didn't own a calender
