A desolate September

She said she didnt love him
On the fourth day of July
But by the twelfth of August
She wished she hadnt said goodbye
On a rainy day in September
She laid lonely upon her empty bed
Decided she would send him a card
And inside a heart it read:
I dont mean to be contradicting
but your eyes used to be addicting
and I was wrong in predicting
that our love would be restricting
I never meant to be so untrue
when I told you we were through
at the time I spoke a lie or two
because now all I really want is you
On a stormy September morning
She received a note in reply
And in hoping he would feel similar
She read the words with a sigh
I used to be in love with you
as you turned my eyes from green to blue
but you told me lies as they were true
and now, Im sorry, Ive found someone new

I agree it's very good but sad. It made me wonna cry and it takes something to make me cry. Very well written to touch hearts.
