Apprehensions and Intentions

Apprehensions and Intentions

I have sensed through recent conversations
You have some understandable apprehensions
You are concerned about my intentions
Let me explain to help ease your tensions

I am here to be your friend
I will remain so until the very end
I will hold you close when you are sad
I will try to make you laugh when you are mad

I will be there to wipe the tear from your cheek
And to guide you to the goal that you seek
When you need to vent from something that angers you
I will help look for answers to help get you through

As our friendship does grow
There are some things you must know
If when we speak I say I Love You
It is not a sexual thing I am trying to do

My life is given to one
My heart is given to none
My love is given to all
To anyone who will call

I hope this answers any doubts and fear
As to why I try to hold you near
If questions you still hold in your mind
Ask them and the answers together we will find

I truly like this. Your poem describes what a friend should be in every way. Sometimes when it involves a guy and a girl romantic feelings sometimes get mixed in also. Very well-written.

A beautiful and sincere poem to your friend, DeadWriter.... I am sure she is no longer apprehensive...
