And I guess she's feeling lonely,
I guess it's all unfair,
She's waiting for a pretty boy
Who will never be there.
Maybe she's after something new,
Maybe she wants to change,
To take her world and shake it up
Then watch it rearrange.
I guess she feels like moving,
Feels like finding new friends,
I guess she's waiting by the clock
Til this slow ticking ends..
I guess she wants a future,
I guess she wants a past,
Something real that she can feel,
Something that could last?
I guess she's feeling lonely,
I guess it's all unfair,
But when she turns to walk away,
Beside her, I'll be there.
