Amy Marie,
Picked up the pieces, of a forever broken heart
That I had thought would be forever torn apart
And glued it back together, with her love
Healing the wings, of the fallen angel from above
Beating once more, it sings a song,
It gives me hope and strength, and helps me carry on
It sings of new days dawning
Away from old memories still haunting
Decorating, my walls with my finest memories of her
And the day, I hold her close, too slowly, draws near
Across, 550 miles she did, what no other could do
She has given me, a love so pure and true
Standing guard at the window of my soul
Making sure, that the glue there forever fills the hole
Opening places within my heart, I never knew were there
She picked me up, when no else had a care
Turned my world, upside down
And with it, turned around my frown
Introduced me to things, I've never felt
Helped me deal with problems that I didn't think could be dealt
Traded all my old ghosts, for new memories and friends
Giving me, a love so strong, even the deepest wounds will mend
