Today was the last day, we finally gave up
Now Im wondering if my heart will ever mend.
I regret letting you slip away.
I cant believe this is the end.
We said wed never let go and we would never fall
But I guess we lasted long enough, we just fell apart through it all
We both said we would never love again,
But this is now, and that was then
But when you think about me I hope you can smile,
And when you think about us I hope you think about the good times.
Because all of that cant be considered time wasted
The love we shared wasnt savored, it was just tasted.
We hurt each other over and over, now nothing can be said
You ***** me over and I just returned the favor
So I know before I say this its going to be too late
Never forget three eighteen oh eight
Forever and always is what we always said
Its what you promised me, its what you put in my head.
But you never followed through with that deadly lie,
You just ripped me apart thread by thread.
You never heard me when I was calling out to you,
You were never there to help me make it through.
I was blinded, wanting my baby back again
But this is now, and that was then
