barren heart just to the left of the west while sallow is the fields inside me life's blood flashing red I thought you said 'it will be a love worthy of all memories held' is that the kind of things cons often say? as they are the sweet words most women want to remember to flow a thousand centuries instead a row of doubt were 'nothing' has ever happened a few shaky deals tossed in the wind between friends five times I five times is the count I am the common denominator I'm better off as I'm not nobody's life nobody's wife better a sight full of maybes and never made promises so now to tell my heart to quiet the beat beneath slight-of-hand and barely trust of man nothing's there or here nothing to change nothing can.
