Love’s Thoughts

Topic: LovePoetry

Loves Thoughts

The connection between us is so amazingly strong
The kind that lasts forever like a favorite song
Yet there is still so much more for us to share
We could not take this step if we did not truly care

Just to stand next to you would set my emotions in gear
The touch of your skin as we embrace so I can whisper in your ear
Telling you I will hold you tight as I gently kiss your cheek
Knowing that it may cause your knees to go weak

As you turn your face to me I softly kiss your lips
I knew you hid your passion, but did not expect it to feel like this
The wave of electricity that you sent through me hit with such speed
That it was me who was brought to their knees

As I hold you close I never want to let go
There are so many more things I want to know
What would it be like to walk with you in the rain?
What can I do to take away all of your pain?

I can only dream of what it would be like to make love with you
To be entwined in each others arms and the things we would do
To caress your body as we melt into one
As the rain ends and gives way to the sun

Our cries of passion echo through the trees
The heat from our bodies warms the gentle breeze
As we lay glistening in the light of the day
Love is meant to feel exactly this way

Nicely written. I love this poem, especially the last two stanzas.
