untitled

Contributed by gusbarney on Friday, 14th August 2009 @ 04:00:02 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

imagine a world without terror and pain
where its always sunny no thunder no rain
where dreams are reality and they always come true
where everyones happy and they all smile at you
where the colours are bright and the people are nice
and everythings easy no role of the dice
no greed or possession money doesnt exist
no lust or temptation to try and resist
a world full of love and beauty and peace
where the hating would stop and the wars would cease
where the animals play and the people dont lie
where the flowers dont wilt and the children dont cry
imagine this world, imagine the bliss
imagine the pain and the sorrow you'd miss

This should be the utopia that everybody dream of.
The irony is that the religions that are supposed to get us there also gets the blame for causing war and all that comes with it.

I really liked the poem though.
It's just sad that all we can do is imagine.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
