you are lost
wandering aimlessly
in the wilderness
of this mine field

light you think you see
imagined or real?
direct your steps toward it
hope is rising

explosion blacks out
your hope is destroyed
yet you continue to search
you eye another light

when will you learn
this cannot be navigated
accepting is your escape
let go of your faith

i will destroy
your positivity
this is not temporary
you will lose
