Poison Proud

Contributed by BrokenSkin on Wednesday, 19th August 2009 @ 03:24:40 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Without a prayer, without a care
You rot in your unconscious lair
Within your mind you creep, you purge
Unsettled in begotten curse

Blackened hearts forget me not
Shaded eyes you have forgot
The blood in mind is thick and bright
Lungs that breathe and sleep at night

Filth is dark and you are deep
Down in dirt you loathe to keep
But yet you do, and do you still
Embrace the love your sure to kill

Laughs are heard with you in thought
A joke is all you ever brought
Not to smile, but in disgust
For love you tortured into dust

Foolish clown, poison proud
Clueless in your thunder cloud
Check the mirrors, hit the breaks
Existence, just one big mistake

Great write! I feel for the entire situation. . . "for love you tortured into dust" such a strong assertion. . .
You'd hope one such as this would recover from total selfishness. Every life has it's frailties & flaws,
which hopefully can be turned around to the better. Unfortunately, some just change vices ( I mean this
figuretively & concretely) for as many trespasses as we commit on others. . . so we commit unto ourselves.
Many times life shows us what we absolutely don't want to be! peace. elle :)
