DEAR MOTHER

Contributed by LadyRose on Friday, 28th August 2009 @ 06:11:44 AM in AEST
Topic: ApologyPoetry

After all you have done for me,
after giving birth to me,
after raising me.
After teaching me the right ways
I would still like to apologies.

For saying I didnt ask to be here.
For thinking you dont like me much.
For hating my sister cause you two where so close.
For thinking you couldnt be my mother
I must be adopted........

As a grown women now I wish I could have....
Dried the tears you cried.
Made things a little easier for you.
Thanked you enough for sacrificing so much for me.
Given you joy instead of hurtful words
and been proud of you earlier

Now I see I can never be my sister....
She is an extrovert.
I am an introvert.
And now I see because I am the eldest
I am more disciplined.

You taught me to be strong cause I have to take care of my baby sis.
You taught me to hold on even though times were rough.
I became quiet cause growing up was tough.
I had to be a little women at home.
Cause you had to earn a living.

Thank you mother for having that much faith in me.
I am today and every day wishing
that I will be half the women you are
And one day when my children meet you
I will pray that I will raise them with as much pride
as you raised me.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
