This is How Love Feels

Contributed by beautiful_letdowns on Friday, 28th August 2009 @ 12:04:34 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Theres nothing like a broken heart
Thats stitched together so tight
Forgiveness given to the undeserving
When everything seems all but right

A peace that moves me
With a story that heals
A dream I have never known
That this is how love feels

With the world crashing around
Unemployed, broke, and alone
Once a shaken mess of nerves
Now unafraid of the unknown

Life throws its hardballs
That I dont think I can chase
But with love and only love
Theres nothing I cant face.

I see much hope within the sadness. You write with an ability to extract
an equity of emotion that makes this a very relatable and beautiful
piece of art. Well done, poet. The last verse is so full of light.

"Life throws its hardballs

But with love and only love
There’s nothing I can’t face."

How true this stanza is for so many. with love anything is possible. it brings to mind for me the song "so small" by Carrie Underwood. I absolutely love that song...and I love this poem. great write.
