Clearly Blurry

Contributed by Ambivalence on Monday, 31st August 2009 @ 08:07:41 PM in AEST
Topic: HumorPoetry

Im neither colorblind nor 20/20 vision,
but for some reason
today my eyesight is really, really blurry.

Literally!

As I turn on my HD plasma TV,
tie-dye colors and misshapen shapes appear on the screen.
Either somethings wrong with the picture setting
or maybe Im just hallucinating.

I cant even tell what channel its on!
Is that the number 8 or the letter B?
Some lady is speaking some Asian language.
I cant tell if shes Chinese, Korean, or Japanese.
I cant tell if shes beautiful or ugly.
I cant tell if her dress is green, blue, or teal.

Frustrating!

I wash my eyes in the bathroom sink.
Then I notice the mirror cabinet unopened.

Whoops!

Now I know what went wrong!
I forgot to put my contacts on!

Oh boy do I relate! lol I love what nessa said about Woodstock! Too funny.
I'm with you on the blurriness of the world though. I am blind without my contacts
or glasses. And you know what else? It's really difficult to FIND the darn things
when you are not wearing them. Can't see an inch in front of my nose. LOL

Thanks for the smile and chuckle. ^_^ This was wonderfully written.
