Words

Contributed by Loende on Saturday, 5th September 2009 @ 08:53:49 AM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Words

Heartfelt, heartlessheart-stopping.
Civil, carelesscutting.

Words, simple words

Be careful what you sow,
what you plant beneath my skin.

Speak

Those lies on your tongue
dont linger in the daylight..

Speak, simple words

Utter the truth, softly if you must,
but release them in the dark.

Forgotten, foresaken...forsworn.
Bitter, brutal...blood-thirsty

Words...

Ouch. Yes words touch us in different ways. Not only do certain words have essence,
but the way in which they are said can twist the meanings completely. Words
are powerful--as this piece is, hun. There is so much contrast in this. So much black
and white, though not without its colour.

But so ofttimes we find that all the colours from our words have been
drained and all that's left is grey. Those are truly the most difficult moments.

This was potent, my dear poet. You have demonstrated with this,
how words can move us. Both positively and painfully. Excellent post, hun.

love,
~ Breezy

Yes, words can hurt
Everyone knows how the words can affect everything,
I can either be the nicest person I can be or I can be like an evil kid with a stick knowing just where to stab to hurt the most...meaning I can be nice but I also know I can say the meanest thing that would hurt the most.

But just because I can doesn't mean I should or would..in the words we speak we have to learn control...we can be bitter, brutal and even blood-thirsty. but some are caring, soothing, and humorous

great poem
Hope to read more soon
-Kelly

My gosh, it is so good to see a new write from you.

I, too, know how badly words can hurt, especially when they come in the form of lies.

Just.. hang in there hun, there are those of us who love you.

Anyway, I love this, I love the language you use, it's simple but clever and it definitely makes an impact.

Good write hunni, I love you.

Heartwrenching to read, your words powerful.
The style in which you wrote it made this write even more profound.......

It would be nice if certain people would use words in phrase and love instead of gossip, lies and for pain.........

Hugs you sis

Michelle

I envy scientists. They see words as simple vibrations of particles. I see them for what they are - a representation of truth or lie about something. This is definetly a fantastic write 5/5 and i would gladly read on
