She Cries...

She cries for the childhood she had lost
The mother she never had
She cries for the missing love
She cries cos she is sad
She cries herself to sleep at night
A woman she is now
She does not understand
And cannot figure how
How her mother could abandon her
And leave her all alone
So scared of whats around her
Scared of her own home
She cries when she hears the footsteps
Coming towards her room
For she knows what is to happen
And it will happen very soon
In there comes the woman
Who she must now call "Mum"
For no one knows her secret
And what this "mum" has done
Shed abuse her and her innocence
And rip her mind apart
For this is not a mother
Who gave her all her heart
She cries alone in silence
Cos no one mustn't hear
But as she hears her screams inside
She also sheds her tears
She wished her life was different
And easier then this
The life that she had only wished for
A life that she did miss

Hi,
Gutwrenching!
If this is from personal experience, and am
guessing it may be, I would have expected
some 'animal' in the guise of a man to be
the perpetrator - not a woman ....... but then,
evil has no gender.

You always expect a mother to protect you from harm, to nurture and to make you feel loved.
All I see here is a complete opposite
