If you were to gaze down at me From way up there Paint would slip out your mouth Like a giant waterfall And fill up my lungs Coloring in my heart
In a world full of black and white You're the artist walking around Painting your colors everywhere
You always can paint a smile on my face You make the rainy days fade away And fill them in with yellow sunshine
You add the color To my life You paint me beautiful
If we were merely figures on a page With me here and you there I would fold this paper until You were next to me

The last stanza is what makes this worth the read.
A wonderful, fanciful image (and one I'd wish for, too.) |
