Failed Love

How did this happen? We were so strong.
Sometimes I wish things wouldnt had gone wrong.
I try to move on and let go, I still have real love for you though.
We both made mistakes causing both of our hearts to ache,
That doesnt change the fact that I miss you
Even after everything we put each other through.
I gave you my heart from the very start, and its still yours.
But our love couldnt last through our self created wars.
I wish we could have the chance to fix the mess we made,
I guess we were bound to fall apart, no matter how hard I prayed.
I know you miss me even though you play tough,
And you know we shared nothing but true love.
For the rest of our lives well regret the choice we made,
To leave each other when we should have stayed.
