out on broken sidewalks
i remembered as the sky divides
how the rain sounds as loud as a lover's words
and the rain, its coming down
so i thought
that you lived inside of the raindrops
falling like regret
while the clouds forget
and your words, make me remember
so i shiver in your presence
as you fall around me
and out on cracked sidewalks
i like feeling you soak through my skin
so i listen intently
as you fall in tidal waves
and your memory paints the sky
while i drink heartache from broken clouds
