Lookin out the window
tryin to hide the pain
lookin to see the sunshine
But all I see is rain

Thinkin about the last time
I saw your face in my mind
Seeing happiness for the first time
When our minds intertwine
Connecting on deeper levels
Ousting my inner devils
Killing my imperfections

We walk away
Souls drenched in shame
with no one to blame but ourselves
in this life long game
things will never be the same
