I wipe the blood from my guilty hands
Walking the line between life and death
The demons within scream from my head and I
I am left completely out of breath...
Hide my other side from you
Devotion is all you know
But you will see the real me
I can't hide forever, no...
Would you still love me
If you knew the hands that touched you
Had taken the lives of countless souls?
Would you still care for me
If you knew the arms that hold you
Had carried bodies that are not whole?
I believe in love and miracles
Perhaps today, both will come true
Have I lost myself in this torment
Why can't I look at you...?

It's great to see you back Niki. This site has certainly missed something during your short absence. This was an excellent demonstration of your obvious talent. It was creative, original and intelligent. Superb!

This is powerful. This is scary. This is powerfully scary. I like the way it asks this question, as if would you still love me if you knew the truth. Makes you wonder if the person would. Provokes thought and I like that. Fine piece of poetry here. Thank you.
