You're the person who's scared
I'm the person who doesn't care
Such opposites,
Yet I long to relate
I've fallen into this method
I grow attached
Then you want me gone
And I can't let go
I try so hard
To show you
I just want to help you
Make you happy
Together we're a lost soul
My energy a lost cause
My persistence a waste
My happiness a myth
Together we're an empty heart
Your reputation an unnecessary need
Your persistence a blockade
Your happiness a challenge
I tried so hard
Wanted to help make you happy
But we're such opposites
Too lost to relate
I have to let you go.
