I waited, i waited
and i waited a little more
but in the end
i didn't know what i was waiting for
was it waiting for the pain to kick in?
the excruciating pain that i would feel?
or was it knowing that
his love, life, meaning wasn't real?
i always thought its only a life
but the life i live is killing me slow
and i always thought it wasn't you
so i told my self no
then i thought it was me
i was the one to blame
but it got to the point
that my heart hated your name
a tear would stream
as i went to face you
then you said to me
you feel like this too?
