A farewell poem to a man I once knew
A farewell to me, a farewell to you
No more tears of joy, no tears of pain
No tears wasted wondering if ill be happy again
No words of encouragement, no words at all
Could soften the blow, could cushion my fall
No hand on my shoulder, no comfort shown
No hand to hold to not feel so alone
No faith in the unknown, or what is to come
Like an angel will fly in and do what is undone
No face to roll over each morning and see
No face is recognizable, not even on me
All that was left, was proven to be untrue
So farewell to me, farewell to you.
