I am taking the time to thank you
Rather than think of
Ways to break you

The things in my past
The way I was
The way I used to be
All the thing we went through
Have made me see

No longer do I fight
Insted I sit,think
And write

I have found my true love
No longer
Do I push
Nor does she shove

I now know
How it should be
I'm sorry it
Took so long to see

You and me
Baby,
Were never ment to be

To say the time
Was a waste
Would'nt be totally true
Since going through hell
Has made me see
The true you

I am a better man
than you knew
I guess it took
The worst of you
to make my good
Shine through

So for that
I suppose
I thank you
