The answer is

Contributed by duke on Tuesday, 15th September 2009 @ 12:21:29 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

In the midst of all this turmoil that we call life
there has always been one constant value that never varies.

It can neither be touched nor seen,
all may partake,
but none can control.

It is freely given,
but far to expensive to buy,
it cannot be bartered or traded for.

If you seek it out,
it is not to be found,
but,
stop your search,
and there it is.

All ask,
What could this thing be?
Is it for real?
Can I have it?
Will it last?

The answer is

LOVE.

And only if you are very fortunate.

A much written theme, treated with simplicity. It conveyed the hope that everyone has where love is concerned. A good piece.

Wonderful and great observations here. I find the ending intriguing ...
Some might say it is only the fortunate who are able to love.
But of course we all know we need just send out love for it to return.

Beautiful thoughts. :)
