Why won't you die, our love died in 95, You were the past, your the reason I wear this mask, You said you were my lucky star, Then you had sex with my best friend in the back seat of my car,
You said you loved me, then everyday you did something to destroy me, Slow and steady, you ripped apart my soul, the worst thing is you enjoyed it though, The look in your eyes, gave away every lie, I gave you my heart, but you laughed as you tore it apart,
Everynight I cried, at times wishing I could die, But thats, too good for you, I'd ***** on your casket at your funeral, You took my money, you gave it to your boyfriend, so you could be his honey, You'd have sex with them, then come and tell me what you did,
And everytime I forgave you, and told myself you'd be true, The nights I slept alone, cause you were at the clubs, not at home, Remember the night you beat me up, I didn't fight back cause I loved you too much, The time I spent behind bars, cause you were speeding in a car,
But I didn't say anything, cause I couldn't bare to see you in chains, So many times I wanted to put a gun to my head and blow out my brains, But something kept telling me no, that I'd be better off alone, Your not worth the tears I cried, now your memory will die.
Forever Faithful The Phantom

Wow, Phantom... you really let it out here, yet you do it tastefully and respectfuuly. Isn't it disgusting when we give our hearts and souls to someone, and they rip it apart with a smirk right in front of our eyes? I feel you on this one, Phantom, and my heart goes out to you for being strong enough to show that you really cared enough to put up with such abuse. What a great poem, you describe yourself well and flow well also. A+ |
