A dozen monday mornings
could not capture the despise
of the underwhelming silence
like a canvas of the sky
and i would like to emphasize
that i did truly try
she held out her hand
and awaited my reply
I want words to make her faint
a voice as colorful as paint
to leave her acting rather quaint
as if her soul my words did taint
