Day Break

Topic: InspirationalPoems

I love New York at the break of day,for life again has much to say.The folks you meet on those awakening streets t'will give you a smile with a twinkle in the eye. Some even say hello with mellow,as on a jugging they go. The misty air with its wetness and freshness, brings joy to the heart and encourages a new start. Singing birds fill the air with their music loud and clear;giving reasons to go on, for a new day had just dawned. The traffic moves so slowly quite a contrast to its fury. Tired looking passers-by gaze straight into the eye to them the morn was at its best,as it urges them home for that long sought rest. Now that the sun is high in the sky, and the beauty of the dawn went slowly by. With a cup of tea in hand, and a bag I'm sure you'll understand, I'm off to work and duty with courage hope and beauty. Thank you New York for your gift of day ,I'm sure there's no other way,to tell the world that life is best, when you hop upon the break of dawn.
