Where I've Nothing to Lose and Everything to Gain

Contributed by ell_03 on Saturday, 19th September 2009 @ 11:37:35 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I just want to be free to live my life
Without regrets without pain.
I want the best of both worlds,
Where I've nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Can I balance my life much longer?
Can i push you aside return in a few years?
Can I have my fun now?
Will you still be there to wipe the tears?

I cant stop there is but one path.
I know the destination at the last stop.
But how long can I prolong it?
How much can I slow the ascent to the top?

If I leave now
Will there be anything when I come back?
And if I turn around for good,
What if youre the one with what all the others lack?

What if I'm settling for someting less?
What if there is something better suited for me?
Just the same, what if there's nothing else?
What if losing you was my biggest mistake?

Well then where will you be?

Fantastic poem... Almost like you're describing exactly how I'm feeling! That's a hard place to be. Thank you for sharing this piece, wonderful =]
