You to the world of higher education
With the young and the brilliant
Surrounded by those who were good enough
Around all of those who are like you

I to the world of strict rules
With the hardened, jaded and weary
Surrounded by the ones ever respected
Around those no one ever wants

As I am broken down day by day
My thoughts will always wander to you
As you are filled with information
Will you even have time for me?

I'll save the world from dawn to dusk
Ever returning to my solitude
Remembering the promises you gave
Hoping that you won't forget

I'm asking you to prove me wrong
Show that you'll never leave me
Determined to prove you right
I will never say goodbye
