Memories of you,
thoughts of our parted past,
these things . . .
they hold my mind.
Thoughts my own,
take claim over me,
as I sit in silence,
watching for you -
I wait eagerly.
No turning back,
I won't give in,
left to face it,
I am a child no more.
Free my soul,
as you capture my mind -
let me live,
make me remember . . .
never to forget as I wait -
to hold my own.
