bare trees

smell of rotted leaves, dawn changing from charcoal
to indeterminate grey passing the realm of gone, a moment elsewhere,
scattered nothingness. I leave nothing... that's enough.
just hanging between afterwards and sound falling apprehensively away.
rain falling in fat drops, dense dripping trees, crows flying low.
the old play stll running rerunning, without actuallly moving.
nearly invisible in gloom bare trees worn out.
