Walking on white Powder soft sand My footprints Left impressions, Little signs Indicating my presence In the recent past.
As I returned later, I paused And struggled to find Signs of any footprints As the incoming waves Advanced, Slowly, but surely Erasing the memory Of my presence
Walking through life What impressions do I leave? What memories Shall last longest? Time moves on Progressing inevitably Towards that day when, My last footprint Shall disappear Only for more footprints To take my place.

Beautiful peace. I can see the footprints as I read this piece. In my opinion no one can match your "footprints" as a poet. You leave lasting impressions on your readers.
