In your eyes, I can sail endlessly, on the sea of blue Not caring if I ever see land again Not caring to step upon the white beaches of the shore Never do I want to see those eyes, with an ounce of pain I wrap my arms around you, as your shivering from the cold I could hold you here forever, just like this Sheltering you from the harshness of reality Taking the blows, and whispering words of love and encouragement, into your ears Every word you speak, in return, is as if it were a fire Shooting through my heart, and waking it slowly Listening to you sing those songs, that bring me so much cheer The light snowfall begins, as I escort you home To get you someplace warm so you don't catch a cold Holding your hand in mine the whole way there I stop at your door, to get my goodnight kiss Wishing the night never had an ending And that I could stay at your side until the end
