I laid last night in tears
Thinking of all my fears
Lately I don't seem to dream
Because memories of my past cause me to wake and scream
Awake I begin to think
My sanity then begins to sink
Every moment away from rest,
Away from my dreams, I only can scream
Fears leave me in a vice
Leaving my skin crawling what shards of ice
No matter how hard I try
I still lay awake every night
And cry
No nightmares haunt me
It's the memories of the past that won't let me be
Never again do I think I'll dream
The memories are vivid as any lucid dream
And all I can do is scream
