You open your mouth and I believe your words before you speak them.
You delicately structure each sentence to capture the ear and dispel all fear.
But are your words only words? Can good intentions feed families? Restore health care? End wars? Or repeal dont ask dont tell?
Yes we can! An empty phrase inundated with false hopes, yet criticism and Nobel Peace Prizes are both premature! So Ill give you four years

My grandfather used to tell me the road to Hades was paved with "good intentions."
This country has already gone a far ways down the wrong road. He hasn't put on the brakes at all. If anything, he stepped on the accelerator.
Claiming "states' secrets" to protect government officials from investigations into torture and murder. Handing over $700 Billion to the banksters. Turning Bagram into Guantanamo East. Caving to insurance lobbyists on health care reform. Where's the change?
But then again, I didn't expect much from a candidate who got more contributions from Wall Street than McCain did.
In case he wasn't aware of it, we probably don't have 4 years to wait. We need real change and we need it now. |

Well said. Obama has been bound up in this superficial cord called hope, but Americans like yourself (quite rightly) want to see some action. You want the unemployed to find jobs, the economy to pick up and the healthcare mess to be sorted out. Politics isn't about pretty speeches, it's about delivering results for the nation to see. Of course, with the complete breakdown of the Republican party, he will more than likely get 8 years, no matter what he does. So he has 8 years to earn his nobel peace prize and turn his speeches into reality. if not, then you will choose somebody different that can deliver.
