Recession, depression, anger, aggression, a hard time's up ahead Muddled we struggle and sink in the puddle, wounded and left for dead Looking for answers they quickly evade us Brought down to our knees by the people that made us Is there a god and why won't he save us How can this poison be left to enslave us... Now is the time to engage in this war My pen on the page and my foot to floor Filled with rage I can't take anymore I unleash the beast from the cage and roar

Such a tight, rap-like rhyme structure. This is so well constructed. Also infinitely relatable. |
