You are my sunshine
after the rain.
You are what takes away
my fear and pain.
You are my embrace
to hold me tight.
You are my love
that loves me so right.
You are all of these and more,
because you are so true
right from the core.
The reason I chose you
is because you know
exactly what to do.
You know how to love,
live,
teach,
and everything
beyond my reach.
No one makes me feel
like you do
and no one can bring me
out of the blue.
When I'm with you,
I never wanna let you go.
I'm always so happy-
Eager to grow.
When I'm without you,
I always dream
perfect dreams-
knowing some day
I'll find ways and means.
