Trash talking yourself will not get you far
You look in the mirror and throw the insults at the reflection
Too this, too that; not enough of this, not enough of that
Stop criticizing what is already amazing
What I see is no less than perfection
I know that you see something different, but
Look at yourself through my eyes for once!
I see beauty beyond compare
Long flowing hair, tumbling down your shoulders
Shining brown eyes, curious and passionate in one go
A perfect body, with all the right curves
But your beauty does not stop just there
Your personality is amazing; creative, compassionate
Your brilliance is above all others
And you are absolutely genuine
If I say any of this, you disagree
Say, "You fool, you are blinded by love."
Blinded by love I may be
But that does not mean I cannot recognize true beauty.
I tell you of your beauty, you scoff
You lure me and catch me every day
I'm completely drawn to you; unforgettable is what I'd say
All I can truly say is that you are beautiful.
Are you so desperate for a place among the stars?
I'll give you a place in my heavens any day
You belong among the shining beauties
As you are one yourself
I am in over my head, surrounded by you
You captivate my waking being, and in my dreams as well
I act impetuously to stay with you
Please, please do not leave me for fame.
Fame is what you are worthy of
If you wanted a song, I would write it all
If you wanted the world, I would do my best
To deliver it on a silver platter to your awaiting hands
In short, do not let this worlds concepts of beauty
Blind you in their jaded way
I shall be your eyes in the darkness
As they fail from the awful words of others
You're a beautiful creature
And I see nothing but your everything
I see it all, any flaws you possess
And that has only ever been loving me.

I remember in my short lived experience of love, I would always say to her 'you're perfect' and she would always say 'No i'm not!'. Of course, she was to me; and that's all that really matters. Beauty is a social construct, but love isn't.
